In May 2010, many areas of Nashville, Tennessee experienced unprecedented flooding, including Gerdau’s 102,000 sf facility on North 1st Street. One of Tessera’s principals worked with Gerdau and local contractors to restore the facility to full operational capacity. The restoration work included replacing the primary electrical service to the facility and the demolition and rebuilding of 25,000 sf of office and showroom space. Tessera’s relationship with local electrical and general contractors enabled Gerdau to reoccupy the facility fully within 60 days.
